Alleged police brutality during protest

The INC says NSUI members were subjected to brutality and harassment, and the INC says an FIR still has not been registered even after 24 hours. Ragini Nayak said that NSUI office-bearer Ritu Barala was detained while protesting against "vote theft." Nayak also alleged that a woman constable named Chanchal Yadav first beat Barala on a bus and then took her to the police station, where Barala was further mistreated.
